    Baclofen?

I am on Baclofen 80mg daily in four 20mg doses. I think that I am having some side affects which include nausea, headache, constipation and notice blood pressure can be quite low, also pupils are very large sometimes. My MS specialist appt is not for a few months and I checked with the pharmacist and they told me the dosage must be lowered or discontinued very gradually over weeks or you can have bad withdrawel symptoms. Has anyone else come off Baclofen gradually and how did it affect you? I would appreciate members sharing any experiences they have had. Thanks very much!

It has been years since I was on a high dose of Baclofen, but It is important to decrease Baclofen slowly and gradually. There are many meds that need to be increased/decreased slowly.

Please speak to your neuro, h/she is the best source in guiding you in the gradual decrease of Baclofen.

Here is some information about Baclofen:

      Baclfen experience

I have been on baclofen for 3 yrs. 10mg 3X day. It has been a life saver for me. I experience muscle spasms in my neck and back that keep me from being able to move my head. The baclofen has made a huge difference. It has cause constipation which I just deal with. It cause nausea for the first month and then i adjusted to it. I have problems with headdaches but I dont think mine are fr the bac. I know people who could not tolerate it and they just backed off the dosage slowly. They either cut the pills in half or reduced the number of times per day that they took it.

I have been up and down on Baclofen. I was told to drop back no more than 5mg. each week.
