has anyone ever had predisone make ur heart beat hard and fast i hate it what should i do i want to taper off myself

Yes prednisone can cause a rapid heart rate and elevated blood sugar. You don't want to stop to fast because it can cause other problems. Let your dr know what is going on and see if they might be able to reduce the dose or change to another steroid.
I am currently taking prednisone and I suffer from rapid heart rate due to grave's disease (hyperthyroidism). For me, avoiding caffeine and sugar helped, along with klonopin. My BP got pretty high while on pred though.Comment

I had to take BP meds on the prednisone, call your doc. He or she should be able to take care of it easily.Comment
