Just when I was ready to see my doctor again and get on the injections. I get my appointment cancel cause he isnt seeing at that location. So my next appointment is in two months.

I really wanted to start doing the injections and get myself checked out with the worsening sxs in heat needed his view. Any advice from anyone on how to get the scripts for the meds.

Is he a neurologist? Did you call the office and explain to them that you want to get on the injections? Make sure you talk with his nurse, not the appointment maker. I can see how you'd be upset. I don't know your situation or how long you have been seeing this doc but there are other ones. As far as the heat goes, it does cause the symptoms to worsen. Try to stay cool. Drink plenty of water and consider the wrist bands, head bands and maybe a vest that help cool the body.Good luck.

Yea did explain things to his office, it seems he may write the script at-least but said the script may not be written till the end of the week.

If you don't get anywhere with the med office, then call your insurance company or medical group. Within my medical group are patient care advocates who you can call if you're having problems getting care. My insurance company also considers more than a month wait to see a specialist, as unreasonable for major health concerns once a referral has been made. They will intervene to try to get you seen sooner if possible or to find another dr who will see you sooner. Drs don't want to lose contracts with insurance companies and have to maintain certain standards. You can also file an official grievance with the insurance company about a dr, a practice, or the insurance company's policies too. They have people who are there to help you get the care that you need. Put them to use. My hubby started over 12 yrs ago with Blue Shield of CA as a customer svc rep. He's worked his way up to coordinating and running the patient side of their website. He's always been a huge advocate of putting the insurance company to work for you. That's what they're there for.

I wouldn't count on the same quality of customer svc with Medicare as you get with private insurance though. They do have case managers that will help though. My dad has Medicare and got help with treatment and cost through a case manager.
