For the last few days I have been looking at my thighs in a different light than I normally use. Rebif has definitely left dents in my thighs. I even noticed an area where there is a dent and the skin surrounding it at a certain angle looks thickened.

red circles
I have been on rebif for almost a year and it is the only dmd I have taken. I do not get dents, but I do get a red circle depending on where I inject. I thought about that on my recent vacation and chose areas least likely to draw attention.
I am sorry to hear about others having problems, because I have had so few side effects or problems with rebif. I have heard that others having problems with rebif have switched to another dmd and fared much better. In fact when I met Clay Walker he told me to take my meds and to get my doctor to switch me to another if I had problems. So, I vote with Clay

I've been on Rebif for 5 years now and never had dents just the ever lovely red spots. I know someone on Copaxone that had to switch meds because they had too many dents which is one of the Copaxone side effects. I don't think I've ever heard of it being a side effect of Rebif. You should contact your dr. if it continues to be a problem.Dx 4/04
Copaxone 5/04-3/05
Rebif 4/05-present

I got one dent from Rebif after a year. I've been on Copaxone now for almost 18 months, and no dents. I told my neuro the blessing of having the extra fat layer I've been trying to get rid of all my life is a benefit with copaxone .
Don't be too quick to change meds. You soon run out of options. This is coming from one who had more lesions on Avonex after a year, itched the entire time on Rebif, developed neutralizing antibodies with Tysabri, and now finally doing well with the copaxone.
Get on something and try to stay on is my advice!Brenda
Adversity gives you two choices in life: either let it make you bitter, or let it make you better! I choose the latter.

I never got any dents with rebif, but I got some bad ones from copaxone. Unfortunately, the dents dont go away. Just make sure you rotate your injections, including within the same area if you can. What i mean is if you do your shot in one "block" in your thigh off of the injection chart Rebif gives you the next time you make it around to your thigh do it in a different block. That should at least help prevent new ones.

Interesting. I guess like anything else, some get it and some do not. I met someone today who was on Copaxone for a year and she showed me her thighs, They look to me as if he has huge areas in her muscles that have been eaten away. She told me that since she is very lean and muscular, the doctors think that the copaxone ate away at her muscles. Her legs look horrible!!
