IMHO, I think having your records is a good thing. I found out, unfortunately, that EVERYTHING you tell a doc will be in their notes.
Right after my dx my PC asked me how my husband was handling my dx...I told her that he was not so great in a different word choice
You would think that would be "off the record" ?? Nope she wrote it down "word for word". 
When I got my records I found it and it was all there in plain English. UGH.
Now, I know.
