Back in 2005 I was having severe neurological sxs (won't list them....too long). At first they thought I had CIDP because my MRI was clear. I had a round of IVIG and sxs cleared.

Eventually sxs came back and MRI showed one lesion. I was given the "possible MS" dx but for two years I never met the criteria for MS. Those two years were a living hell. I couldn't walk without a cane and used a wheelchair a good bit of the time.

Then a dr thought some bloodwork suggested Lyme disease had been present in my system at some time. Was given antibiotics for a month. I didn't immediately get better but I eventually did. No problems since 2007.

Now.....nerve pain in the face, heavy arm, positive Rhomberg, and a positive Babinski sign at my family dr.

I'm in Houston and this heat (weeks of over 100 degrees) is killing me.

Going to a Neurologist today. SIGH.....

    Thanks for listening

    Thank you for the encouragement

I had a spinal tap in those early round of tests. It was normal. I'm braced to go back into Limboland. I was just really enjoying the last couple of years. SIGH.....

      It had been so long

since I logged in I couldn't remember my old user name. I created another account but will go back to using my old one now. Can't figure out how to delete the Gina Lou account....

This neuro is pretty sure it is MS (but I've heard that before). Have an MRI scheduled for next week. Hopefully they will be able to get a vein for the contrast. Have never been able to do that. I also have Crohn's diease. All the IV salumedrol treatments have eaten my veins.

He wanted me to go ahead an get an appt wtih an MS specialist. I'm going to wait until the MRI though before doing that. Have had way too many docs that think it's MS and too many tests that don't support it. Hello Limboland.

On the other hand....it is good to see members from so many years ago.....
