Applying for a Grant?

I dont know if this is the write thread for this question but I wanted to know can you apply for a grant to help with a living situation like finding a home or making a home accessible for a disabled person like myself who is wheelchair bound? Has anyone gotten a grant for this purpose? I really dont know what else to do about my living situation.
