    Humidity Problems?

I know that heat is a issue with a lot of people, but over the past couple weeks where I live we have had 70's with rain so have had high humidity. I have noticed that these conditions have been worse then just the hot weather (hottest it's been is only 85 so far) by itself.

Just wondered if anyone else has had this problem with high humidity?

Yes, yes, yes!!!!!!!!!!!! Today is the second day of high humidity and temps around 90! And the forecast for the next week is about the same. This morning I had to come in from sitting out on the backyard patio at 10:00!

The humidity affects me really bad. Turns my weak leg and foot into jello! When this happens I have to line up the ice packs up and down my leg. Usually this gives me some strength back in 20 minutes or so. Not so today though.

You are not alone that's for sure! Stay cool and inside if need be! Casino

Yes - we have been having extraordinary high heat and humidity - just hits me very hard - so I have been trying to spend as much time in A/C rooms ( I have a portable a/c in the bedroom - none in any of the other rooms)

I too have Humidity problems as well. It is just like heat to me but I can't breath very well at all....

It will make me very weak and if I don't get cold air asap it will do what heat does to me. I'll go numb, pass out and get stroke like symptoms.

I try to stay indoors at all times when it's summer, sad way to live but I would rather enjoy outside when it's cool and not be in bed because I went outside on a hot/humid day.

Ya I heard all about the heat when I was dx a couple months ago but didn't expect the humidity to be such a problem. I would rather it be 85 with low humidity then the 70 and high humidity that we have been having. It's much worse for me. Good to know that is a normal issue it sounds like. Still not fun but good to know it's normal. I'm still getting use to all this, it's not easy.

Humidity is a key factor in the heat index. High humidity is oppressive because it foils the evaporative processes (sweating, panting) a body uses to cool itself. Hence the saying: It ain't the heat, it's the humidity.
