GI Doc today ...

Thought I would take the bull by the horns and head to the GI doc to have him schedule an endoscopy (have had them in the past for bleeds) and talk about testing me for Celiac.

Still waiting on the new appointment with the MS Specialist but need to do "something".

If it is Celiac, I feel I can get on the mend sooner and eliminate something they may or may not have tested me for.

I will let you know how it goes, once I know something.

Well my dear.. I sure HOPE you get some answers and quickly. May you can get on your way soon to recovery and know what you are dealing with.

I just had celiac test and it was neg. Also EDG and another colonscopy. Now the doc wants to do a stomach emptying test for gastroparesis.

I really hope they find something. You must be so tired of all this, who isn't, right? At some point you get to thinking doctors are just paying their mortgage by ordering test after test after test. But then, what else can they do. They have limited tools to provide scientific results. It truly is a process of elimination.

I'm thinking of you and really hope you get some answers. You have endured a lot this year.

I am going for the upper endoscopy test next week for severe stomach pain. My gallbladder test came back neg so they are looking for other issues. I really think it is the gallbladder. If the endoscopy comes back clear then doc may go ahead and take out gallbladder to see if that helps.

Will they take a biopsy to test for celiac? I'm sure they look for several things while in there, but wondered what else they may be looking for.
