Ginger Apple Sausage Patties

Ginger Apple Sausage Patties

Easily thrown together, these freeze nicely for future breakfasts or other meals.

Ingredients:

  • 1 medium sized green apple
  • 1 small onion or ½ large onion
  • 2 tsp ginger paste or grated ginger
  • 2 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ¾ tsp ginger powder
  • ½ tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 lb ground pork

Equipment:

  • Food processer
  • Kitchen knife
  • Cutting board
  • Measuring spoons
  • Large mixing bowl
  • Parchment paper
  • Large baking pan

How to:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Line baking pan with parchment paper.

Cut apple and onion into rough pieces.

Pulse in food processer for a few seconds until fairly small but not mush. Throw in all the remaining ingredients except the ground pork.

Mix thoroughly.

Add the ground pork, mix thoroughly with your hands, then shape into palm sized patties, placing them in the baking pan. Bake for approximately 30 minutes.

Fragrant yumminess! If freezing, let cool thoroughly. Place pieces of wax or parchment paper between patties so they don’t stick together.
