easiest homemade mayonnaise

If you love mayonnaise but hate the prices on some store brands, do yourself a favor! With an immersion blender, it just can’t be easier. And – no unhealthy additives. Note: contains raw egg.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tsps fresh squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 tsp raw apple cider vinegar
  • 1 large pastured or free range egg
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp white or black ground pepper
  • 1/4 tsp ground mustard
  • 1 cup avocado oil

Equipment:

  • Quart size canning or pickling jar with lid
  • Measuring cup and spoons
  • Immersion blender

How to:

Put ingredients into canning jar in the order listed. Put immersion blender in jar to the bottom and blend. When the mixture starts getting thick and white, move the blender up and down until all the ingredients are fully incorporated. Cover and refrigerate promptly.
