I can't believe you have to drive 3 miles to your neurologist? What do you do if you have a problem. Update on the doctor call back issue. He did return my call yesterday and did apologize for the delay but no reason given. I guess I'm not a high priority these days. I only see him once annually and we are now going longer than one year for the MRI. No changes on MRI scans in over 5 years. Thinking of discontinuing the Tecfidera but somewhat timid about that move right now.
    Stay well and Happy Thanksgiving
    Three hours; yeah.

I haven't had a problem in quite a few years. But, when I had flares in the past, we used just phone calls. They returned calls quickly.

I had been requesting oral Prednisone instead of IV solumedrol for years, due to problems I had with IVs. It was easy for their office to call in a rx over the phone.

If needed, I expect their office would work together well with my local PCP. Actually, I think my MS specialist did, initially, work together with my previous Wichita neuro.

I'm glad you finally received a return phone call.

Yeah; three hours is a long way. But, I'd prefer my doc, three hours away with good response, to someone five minutes away who doesn't return phone calls.

    Happy Thanksgiving to you, too!

Important to remember that if something is truly urgent call 911 or go to Emergency Department for immediate evaluation.

Labs don't ever get a call back unless abnormal but if I'm interested they are listed in the patient online portal now for my PCP and MS specialist so that has made things easier to track.

In my opinion if the neurologist isn't interested in my case that is a good thing. I want to remain as boring as possible to him.

I guess you are right. I am boring in terms of MS. I only have a visit once per year and now MRI's are being scheduled possibly 1 1/2 -2 years out. Yes if there is an emergency you must get to emergency room for sure.
