New to MS Forums AGAIN :)

Hello again. I haven't been here in a long time. I have been through quite a bit and I am still standing.

The last time I was here, my husband and I separated. We are now divorced. For 2 yrs he wouldn't even look at me. Now, he comes by almost everyday. If I need help with cleaning or some thing, he helps me. He has not changed but he does know where he stands. He also helps with bills etc, it is still half his house. I'd rather have a civil relationship than a tense one.

So anyway, I am working PT as a Certified Peer Specialist. I did the 2 wk training and started working May 30, 2017. I love the job. It's a growing field. Many of you on these forums helping others, is much like being a Peer Specialist.

I was on Tecfidera for awhile, but had a mild relapse over the winter. I will be starting Ocrevus as soon as I get my mammogram. I still go for pain management regularly. I just did a short stay in the hospital. My BP dropped, I was dehydrated and became septic. I go back to work tomorrow.

I lost my mom and an aunt on May 8th and thought I was going to join them myself. I am feeling better. My dog just now while typing this message had her 2 seizure in 3 days. Some days I feel like I am drowning and barely catch my breath.

One day at a time, stay positive, keep your sense of humor and just keep getting back up.

    Welcome back Teri.

My deepest sympathy on the loss of both your mother and Aunt. The loss of loved ones can be so stressful. We often don't take great care of ourselves during these times. I am sorry you landed in the hospital. I truly hope you have a speedy, full recovery.

Glad you like your job. It sounds like it may be a rewarding career choice.

Also glad your relationship with your ex is civil and he steps up some to help out.

As you said, one day at a time. Take good care of of yourself and accept help from those offering. It can be hard to do, but you need to put you first.
