    cognitive therapy

I played this game a long time ago and enjoyed it. A study just came up saying it is good for cognitive health.

    DECODER GAME ONLINE:

There are also downloadable apps of the game for your phone, but I like the simplicity of this version. There is no blaring music, the settings are easy to change, and it loads quickly and doesn't seem to require any plugins.
    All the best, ~G

The directions might be too complicated with words like “code” and sequence, so I tried to simplify them:

    1. When you start a game the computer knows the correct arrangement for a row of colored marbles, which you must guess to win.
    2. To figure out the arrangement of four colored marbles, you get 10 guesses - one guess per row.
    3. To make a guess, click marbles at the bottom and then put them into a hole in your guess row by clicking that hole. To change the marble color, click a bottom marble and then click the marble again or add it to a new hole.
    4. When you complete a row to make a guess, you then click the “check” button to get hints
    5. Red dots in the hint mean you have the correct color in the correct hole
    6. White dots in the hint mean you have the correct color in the wrong hole
    7. Empty dots in the hint mean you’re not done yet!
    8. After you make a guess and look at the hint, you can review the past rows of guesses to figure out how to adjust your next guess
    9. You can also play with up to 8 marbles for complexity and you can allow duplicate colors.

    All the best, ~G

And a black dot in the hint means wrong color.

      Thanks for this game, G!
