Weightloss Checkin Group: Weighin For 2/14/19

Hi everyone. I am rushing. It was an overly full day with three physical therapists coming and an appointment for a haircut. I am having severe trouble with my left leg partly or even mostly due to a fall last week. I hope you are all doing better than I.

I could not weigh today. My legs were too weak to stand on the scale. And now I am having trouble with my computer. This will have to be short.

Agate, sorry to miss you this week, I hope all is well.
Mamabug, Good for you for your small loss.

Hsmaldo, sorry to hear about your small gain but if you follow your plan you will be in the lost category next week.

Msgijo, glad you are still in normal range. It good you are having your thyroid checked.

Daisycat, so sorry to miss you this week. I hope everything is all right with you.

For those who may have an interest in joining our dedicated group, our members each have their own personal methods of weight loss. Some are on Weight Watchers, some on Atkins for example and some just cut calories. I personally lost quite a lot of weight in the beginning using Atkins and then just cut portions while eating everything. The method is not the most important thing, it is staying focused and following the plan.

We post weight loss, gain, stayed the same, from Thursday to Thursday and have been doing so for over 16 years. We are truly dedicated to get rid of those pesky pounds and keep them off. You don’t have to state your actual weight. It’s a matter of choice.

    Tip For The Week:

No tip this week with this funky computer.

    Weight Loss Results:

    Total Loss:

.2 lost. Mamabug, you saved the day. I hope we all join you this coming week.

    Total Gain:

4.3 pounds. This is definitely not one of our better weeks. May we all recover this coming week.

    Stayed The Same:

0 members As we know, staying the same truly is success, including for those who are maintaining. Just keep remembering it is the time before the next loss if you have more to lose. Also staying the same is a signal that you are eating the right amount to maintain your losses.

4191.5 is the total weight loss for the past 16+ years. We hit a new milestone. We now have lost over two tons for which we should be proud. That truly is phenomenal.

    Happy Valentine's day everyone!

    Karen,

I'm so sorry to hear that you fell and that you're having issues with your leg now. I am SO happy that you are at your son's house and that you have someone with you during all of this though. It's like that insurance, it's great when you need it and it sounds like for now, you need to be cared for!

It sounds like you had a very busy day yesterday! THREE PTs??!! I hope you can take it easy this week and that you regain some strength!

I caught a cold last weekend and have been feeling not great. I stayed home on Sunday and then we had a snow day on Tuesday, so that has helped me get as far as I have this week. I still feel pretty crummy, but I have so much to do at work and so much due next week that I can't take more time off. I'm taking 1/2 day tomorrow and we have Monday off for President's day, so I'm hoping to kick this by next week.

I did weigh myself this morning and I'm down 2.8 lbs from 231.5 to 228.7. I'm pretty sure it's because my appetite has not been very big since I've gotten sick. I've been having a cup of herbal tea instead of dessert. I should seriously make that a habit even after I feel better!!

Lots of other stuff going on that I don't have time to update, but the one thing that is at the back of my mind is that it's been almost 6 years since my first flare. I had gone for a spa session/massage on President's day in 2013 and sat in the sauna. I really think that's what kicked my symptoms into gear and by March 9 I was in the ER with double vision and was diagnosed with MS by June. I'm thankful that it's been 6 years with no other flares but I'm also trying to watch my stress level with work since I think that was also a huge contributor!

But I'm going to not worry about it anymore and just enjoy it being Valentine's day and remember that I'm in a good place right now--despite the stress and heavy workload!

I hope that the rest of you have a great week!

        Lost 1 pound .

        2/7 117.8 (BMI 20.2)
        2/14 116.8 (BMI 20.0)

Still in a good range, but was glad to see a small drop in weight. Still dragging (Thyroids), but feeling slightly better.

We went out to eat for Anniversary /Valentine, and I DID pig out, but we don't do the candy routine, so I don't have any 'junk' around to tempt me. The roses are pretty tho .

I hope that all have a great week .

Holding at 115 and realizing that that is 5-7 lbs. less than I'd been weighing for quite a number of years. I'll get on with losing a few more pounds soon, I hope.

Sorry that I keep neglecting to be here on a weekly basis. Time just slips away from me.

Karen, I'm so sorry you fell and have had a setback.

msgijo, congratulations on not going the Valentine's Day candy route. A difficult day to get past without being tempted!
