HAPPY NEW YEAR
Hi everyone. I hope everyone one of you has the happiest New Year ever. I am rushing because it is late and I have to get to bed.
My report postedThursday morning.
Agate, that’s great that you stayed the same with all of the temptations around every corner. Keep it going.
Mamabug, good for you for staying the same during this time of constant calorie laden temptations. Keep up the good work.
Hsmaldo, so sorry to miss you this week. I hope everything is o.k.
Msgijo, excellent loss. How in the world do you do it during such a time of constant temptations around every corner. Keep it going for the New Year.
Daisycat, so sorry to miss you this week. Good luck to you and I hope we will hear from you this week
For those who may have an interest in joining our dedicated group, our members each have their own personal methods of weight loss. Some are on Weight Watchers, some on Atkins for example and some just cut calories. I personally lost quite a lot of weight in the beginning using Atkins and then just cut portions while eating everything. The method is not the most important thing, it is staying focused and following the plan.
We post weight loss, gain, stayed the same, from Thursday to Thursday and have been doing so for over 16 years. We are truly dedicated to get rid of those pesky pounds and keep them off. You don’t have to state your actual weight. It’s a matter of choice.
Tip For The Week:
A registered dietitian with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northwestern University and a Master of Science degree in Clinical Nutrition from New York University, Jaclyn “Jackie” London handles all of Good Housekeeping’s nutrition-related content, testing, and evaluation. She reports:
Start your day with a cup of coffee. Caffeine is a natural diuretic and an excellent source of antioxidants, which protect your cells from damage. You can have up to 400mg — about a venti Starbucks coffee — daily, according to the 2015 Dietary Guidelines for Americans.
Not much of a coffee drinker? Tea is also a natural diuretic, and types of herbal tea such as dandelion or fennel root can also lend a hand. In fact: When a recent study compared the metabolic effect of green tea (in extract) with that of a placebo, researchers found that the green-tea drinkers burned about 70 additional calories in a 24-hour period.
Weight Loss Results:
Total Loss:
1.8 pounds by one member. Good loss. That is amazing at this date. Good going. May we all follow suite.
Total Gain:
This report is delayed until later in morning.
Stayed The Same:
2 members. As we know, staying the same truly is success, including for those who are maintaining. Just keep remembering it is the time before the next loss if you have more to lose. Also staying the same is a signal that you are eating the right amount to maintain your losses.
4163.4 is the total weight loss for the past 16+ years. We hit a new milestone. We now have lost over two tons for which we should be proud. That truly is phenomenal.
