Hi again everyone,
Just updating from my last post in August. So I saw the Neuropsychologist and was told my cognition was slightly below normal, but pretty much normal. Thee MRI for my cervical spine where I had ACDF surgery was unchanged. I also had a lumbar MRI, which showed compression at L5 and S1. My neurosurgeon says there is not much he can do for it, considering other health factors. This could explain some of my leg symptoms and I am definitely having Sciatic pain right now.
The Neurologist I am seeing now is one that I had last year who wanted a follow-up. She had me get an MRA of the brain (because MS specialist in Pitt. said lesions could be ischemic), but it was normal (arteries and veins). Does anyone know if this could mean MS is still on the table? I also need to see an ENT for tinnitus and vertigo. My primary doctor suspects Menier's, but could also be BPPV. I am right now going to PT 2-3 times a week for the vertigo.
The therapist said it is not BPPV because I passed the test twice. They are working on my terrible balance, occasional nystagmus and the vertigo/dizziness that just comes out of nowhere. Oh, and nausea that is almost every day. Sigh, I sure hope my neurologist has some answers for me in Dec. when I see her again. Hope everyone is doing well (as can be) and Thanks for reading.
