I agree — movement and exercise is good, I can tell when I haven’t exercised for a few days or more...feels like lost ground.

Sleep is better, too. (at least for me)

I'm glad that you've noticed the benefits of exercise. In addition to helping you sleep, there are long-term benefits too. My MS Specialist tells me that regular exercise is helpful in delaying progression of MS.

Both of you would be very welcome to join our weekly Exercise Check-In thread. You set your own goals. You can keep the same goals week-to-week, or modify them. You decide if you accomplished them. Check in once a week to let us know how you did last week, and to set goals for the following week.

You can find us in the Stickies, here in the Wellness Forum. We get to know each other, and are a good support for each other. Most of us find that weekly posting helps to motivate us to continue exercising.

I know this thread is almost a month old, but I've been re-reading physical therapy theads today.

About a year ago, I requested a PT referral because I'd noticed a steady decline for the last few years. I completed 12 visits with very little improvement. I was disappointed because, in the past, earlier in my MS journey, PT had helped immensely.

I've recently decided to pick up doing my PT exercises at home again. Especially those that target my quad muscles. My left quads are especially weak and affect my gait.

I am hopeful that, in combination withy focus on following the recommendations of my functional medicine doctor, I will see some improvement in strength and ability, even if it takes awhile.

Reading about how PT helped others provided some encouragement and motivation to me.

          Thanks!
