    Suppelements

Can you tell me what supplement should not be taken for people that have ms

When I was RRMS and in the inflammatory stage, I was told not to take echinacea and astragalus root. I can't remember exactly why as it was years ago.

Here is an entire pamphlet to read by the NMSS about vitamins, minerals and herbs for people living with MS:

I think the reason against Echinacea is because stimulates the immune system and our immune system is already confused. I believe that Dr Allen Bowling ( the MS guru of CAMs ) suggests that he considers it to be a "theoretical risk".

        (now a Mimibug)

        Symptoms began in JAN02
        - Dx with RRMS in OCT03, following 21 months of limbo, ruling out lots of other dx, and some "probable stroke" and "probable CNS" dx for awhile.
        - In 2008, I was back in limbo briefly, then re-dx w/ MS: JUL08
        .

        - Betaseron NOV03-AUG08; Copaxone20 SEPT08-APR15; Copaxone40 APR15-present
        - Began receiving SSDI / LTD NOV08. Not employed. I volunteer in my church and community.
