    Symptoms of new lesions

Hi everyone if you have a number of only brain lesions
and have been told one is active and I have a new lesion
as well with several symptoms could this be the start of
    m.s.
Ive just seen a neurologist and I've got to go for a
contrast MRI will this show what the lesions are doing.
Im scared, it's the not knowing and feeling not to good
    in myself.
    Sorry for the long message.

    That is a possibility.

The contrast will show if there are lesions that are currently active with inflammation.

Not knowing what's going on with our bodies and having symptoms can be scary. Most of us have
    experienced those fears too.

Your message is not long at all, not to worry.

If you have any more questions, feel free to ask and we'll be glad to help if we can.

You might get more views and responses in the Limbolanders sub-forum, or the General Questions and Answers Forum. But here is ok too.

      Lesions

Oh thank you for the reply as I'm a new member on here.
Ill keep you up dated as it is going to take 4 months to have the scan done , I've been told this is the waiting time.
I have thought about going private to have the scan done.
Would this hurry things up a bit?
I don't know what to do.
      Thanks again from hungryhippo.

        Hi hungryhippo and welcome

Four months can feel like forever when waiting for a test!

Have you talked to your doctor about your concerns with the wait for your MRI scan?

Your doctor might be thinking that the wait is ok, and that it won't make a difference.

I'm sorry, but I don't know the answer to that. I would talk to your doctor about that.

Yes, please keep us updated on that, and also on how you are doing in the meantime, and any other questions that we might be able to help you with.
