Hello everyone,
Allow me to begin by introducing myself. My name is Brandon from SC. My first exacerbation was spring '03. Optic neuritis. I was told that it happens sometime and that my vision should return to normal. As a student at Centre College I didn't have the wisdom to question it. I have an identical twin brother, with MS. He was diagnosed in 2006. His specialist informed him that I should have an MRI.
2009: I was working at a venue at Bucknell University and living in PA. I finally went to a neurologist, and after an MRI, I was informed that I have a clinically isolated syndrome known as Multiple Sclerosis. It took a few years for me to accept what I should have understood all along. I have a degenerative autoimmune disease called Multiple Sclerosis. Tysabri has effectively put the brakes on new progression. The damage before Tysabri didn't seem all that bad at the time (hindsight is 20/20).
Fast forward to now...
My daughter is 1 year 4 months old and the most amazing gift in life.
My wife filed for divorce.
I recently opened an SSDI claim.
I got Bilateral Forearm Crutches (AMAZING!!! I walk better now than I have in years.)
There are a lot of things to be upset about in my life, but I don't have the energy to stress. I can only change what I can change.
I am in the process of realizing my reason for being.
A purposeful life is a good life.
