    Signed up for Ocrevus

I have been on Tecfidera for 4 years. Prior Ty for 7 years. Back in May had a Bad relapse. Been very stable for over 10 years. No flares at all. I've had MS for 40 years.
Neuro switching me to Ocrevus. Signed up for Ocrevus on 6/14/17. Ocrevus called on 7/6/17. Gave me my ID #.
Now what?? Do I call my Insurance or does my Neuro handle it from here. Neuro has own clinic and Infusion Center. I have BC/BS Medicare PLUS Blue PPO. Any info/reply would be appreciated. Thanks, Diana

Everything for my Ocrevus infusion was handled by my neurologist's office. There are several blood tests required beforehand. After those results were reviewed they contacted Medicare and the insurance company for approval, then scheduled the infusion.

I have not heard of anyone contacting the drug company and getting an ID number.

Hope the process goes well for you.

I found out people on regular BC/BS PPO are having no problem being infused. It seems a Medicare issue. What the heck why is Medicare being singled out?? Must be a Michigan thing?? I pay my premiums like everyone else. Confused and saddened I really need this drug!!
