    LipSync Mouth Operated Joystick

    How do you access a tablet, smartphone or computer if you can't touch the screen or use a keyboard? LipSync could be the solution. http://www.makersmakingchange.com/lipsync/ It is an easy to use mouth operated Joystick. They are currently working with individuals and providing the first 150 LipSync devices free to participants who are intersted and willing to give feedback on the device.

    The device is from an initiative called Makers Making Change. (http://www.makersmakingchange.com ) It is an online network that connects people with disabilities, makers (volunteers with technical skills) and assistive technology professional to curate, make and deliver open source assistive technologies to people with disabilities that do not have access to the appropriate funding. The goal is create more affordable and cost effective assistive technologies for those that fall through the crack of existing funding programs. Open source designs are given to the greater community by their creators to be made, modified and enhanced without any compensation.
    Makers Making Change is an initiative of the Neil Squire Society, a Canadian not-for-profit that uses technology to increase the independence of people with disabilities. (http://www.neilsquire.ca )
