    Neuro absolute lymph level

Well my neuro finally has an issue with my .32 absolute lymphocyte count.
He is retesting and ordered a MRI. (possible new leg symptoms/increased foot drop)
I have been on Tecfidera for 3 years, this is the lowest it has ever been.
He says its a problem that it is under .5

So while I am waiting for the new blood work and MRI to come back, he is going to contact my MS specialist about the low count to see if he has an issue with it.
My neuro mentioned Lemtrada as a new med if I have new lesions on the MRI.
He also mentioned ocrelizumab when it is approved.

The part about Lemtrada possibly only requiring two courses of infusions gets my attention but the long list of side effects and years of monthly blood/urine tests does too.

Every MRI i've had on Tecfidera has not had any change. Tec has worked for me and I do not have any side effects besides the occasional (no pattern) flushing.

An added plus for Tecfidera is the psoriasis on my hands and feet has almost completely disappeared.

Does anyone else know what their neuro's low lymphocyte count number is?

I never know for sure which unit my Neuro is looking at, but he said anything below 500 is bad and I am at 294, way low. Just moving the decimal point and I am at .294 way below .5 This is the second time my lymphocyte count was low, below 500 (.5) and since I am JC+ no more Tecfidera for me.

I was on Copaxone for almost 7 years and tolerated it well so I said I would go back on Copaxone but my HMO now only stocks Glatopa. No shots for 3 1/2 years, it was nice while it lasted!

      lymphocye drops

I have been on tec for over two years and lymphocyte levels are my only concern. I started at 1.6 before I started, and two years in, I seem to fluctuate between 0.7 and 0.9. I get worried at 0.7. Going to try to stay on and keep testing bloodwork for another 6 months or so and see what happens. I was surprised to find out that the specialist I saw said lymphocytes usually drop more in second year. I thought they would stabilize after 2 years. Glad to know what I am experiencing is not abnormal at least.

It can be scary stuff. I have had great mri results for the last 2 years so I will try to keep on it.
