Compound pharmacies? Who do you use?

I have used skip's pharmacy in florida off and on for a decade. They have become unreliable in the last couple of years and am hoping someone can share a compound pharmacy they use. I am looking for a 4-ap prescription, fwiw. Thanks in advance!

I would call your insurance company and see whom they recommend. I do not know if that is an item that insurance will cover. Let us know what you find out.

Wow ! You live in the US and can't find a compounding pharmacy nearby ! Why don't you inquire at the local pharmacy where you live ? Tell them what you are looking for. I asked a few local pharmacies nearby my home, in the suburbs of Philadelphia, and they gave me a couple of addresses. I realize that you can do your business by fax/email, but a strong recommendation makes the transaction easier! Good luck

I'm sorry to hear that. What kind of problems did you have? I have a local one I can use, but their prices were much higher.

Too many to list. It all started when I changed addresses. Expense is my problem, too.

Insurance and my doctor are no good, but thanks.

I remember people talking mail order pharmacies when LDN and 4-ap were popular some years ago. Thought maybe someone used one they could share.

              Hi whatismyname,

I don't have any experience with on-line compounding pharmacies, and used a local one when I took 4-AP. My MS Specialist is the one who really chose them because that's where he sent my prescription. I never had any problems with them, so never questioned using a different one. But, I also didn't realize at the time several others are much closer to my home. One of those is even part of a large drug retailing chain (this particular location offers more complex compounding).

You can ask your other doctors if there's a local one they would recommend (start with your primary care Dr). You could do a Google search of compounding pharmacies near your zip code. That would also help you compare pricing. Compounding pharmacies can be accreditated by the Pharmacy Compounding Accreditation Board (PCAB), but that is voluntary. If needed, you can also request the local pharmacist mail your medication to you.

              Good luck ,
