Did you try Amazon Books? You could use their book search for gut/brain connection.

You can instantly see which books have the most stars (best rated).

Then, read the reviews for the best rated ones. Usually customers will comment on whether a book is easy to understand, helpful, too technical, etc.

I'm interested also, and may look for a good book on the subject too.

Maybe try Dr David Perlmutter's book Grain Brain? It's pretty interesting.
