A few suggestions fo Member Topic of the Month...

    What a Great idea...

    Here are a few suggestions:

Discussion of Finding an MS Specialist.

How to ask for a Second Opinion.

Is there hope for treatments coming soon for SPMS and PPMS?

    Discussion of Funny Stories.

I look forward to lots of suggestions from others... !

I'd like to see more specific differences between the MS types.

Not officially diagnosed due to non-MS-specific spots on MRIs, but the neurologists all agree it's MS.
Frustrated. January 2019: finally saw an MS specialist worth seeing. Maybe we'll get to the bottom of this.

And the fact that it isn't a 'one time thing' but something that is dealt with over and over .

Unusual symptoms and other ailments connected to MS.

How to get doctors to work together instead of blaming EVERYTHING on MS and expecting that we suffer in silence.

                        Undiagnosed

I know how you feel. Still undiagnosed although my neurologist believes it is MS but my lesions are not specific enough. Still see him every three months to see progress. Very frustrating.

Have you thought about getting a second opinion from another Neuro who is an MS Specialist?

                            Topic of the Month

                            Topics of the Month Suggestions:

                            1) How to figure out what symptoms are a medical, non-MS issue...is it a heart attack or just costochondritis again? Did I pull a muscle or is it a muscle spasm? Has my vision changed and I need new glasses or is it optic neuritis?

                            2) How to control heat intolerance.

                            3) Controlling the WHAT-IF demon. Today I feel good. I'm 40 now, what if I can't walk when I'm 50, what if I wake up tomorrow and can't see.... what if I have to have another steroid infusion....and the list goes on.

                            4) How to help family members understand what we go through, what we need from them, and what they can and cannot expect from you.

                            Thanks-
                            AJ
