I have had issues that sound like MS for 10 1/2 years. My LP showed 3 O-bands and my recent MRIs (a 3T) showed a small lesion on my spine. My neuro said that it is a 60/40 chance of MS. If a CT scan shows no cancer (thinking maybe paraneoplastic syndrome), then he will start me on Aubagio.
The Neuro said it will help so no new lesions grow, but I'm trying to understand remissions. I have been slowly getting worse for 10 1/2 years. I have never been without pain or the numbness. I get spikes, like when I could barely use my arms for 3 months, or when I can barely move for days, but the other symptoms stay.
Will this medicine help if I don't have any true remissions?
