    Shoo-Fly Pie Wet Bottom

    Ingredients
    2 (9-inch) unbaked pie crusts
    4 cups all-purpose flour
    2 cups sugar
    1 Tablespoon baking soda
    1 cup butter or margarine
    2 cups unsulphured molasses
    2 cups warm water
    1 egg
    2 Tablespoons baking soda

    Directions
    1 Heat oven to 400 degrees.
    2 Combine flour, sugar, and baking soda in large bowl.
    3 Cut in butter until crumbs form.
    4 Combine molasses, water, egg, and baking soda in large bowl.
    5 Beat at low speed until blended.
    6 Add half of crumb mixture; beat just until blended.
    7 Pour into pie shells, filling a little over half full.
    8 Sprinkle remaining crumbs over both pies.
    9 Bake 10 minutes.
    10 Reduce oven to 375 degrees.
    11 Bake 35 to 40 minutes, until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
    12 Cool 10 minutes.
    13 Place pies inside separate plastic bags; fasten ends.
    14 Cool completely.

    I had to smile when I read your recipe

    If you take a look at my user name it's Shoo

    When I joined MS World in 2002 every name I tried was taken I walked out to the kitchen and saw my Shoo Fly cupcakes I had made I thought why not try Shoo Fly Lady and that name was not taken, so over the years I just use Shoo

    Shoo fly pie is so good and lot of people never heard of it That's why I was surprised when I saw the recipe
