Dear Sissy
You have a lot on your plate and stress and shingles too sounds awful! Don't beat yourself up. You have no control of when you are sick.
I missed Christmas entirely three years ago due to MS fatigue and many other stress related problems. I had our whole family there. I couldn't shop. I didn't have strength to cook and I wasn't eating. I just turned the entire kitchen over to family members and somehow they pulled off Christmas.
Please try to get some counseling to help with your stress and treat yourself well by getting an MS SPECIALIST. I think your current Dr is giving you mixed messages. Remember if you are diagnosed with MS, which I hope you aren't, there are many MS drugs DMTs that can slow progress significantly and you can get medication to help with mental and physical fatigue.
It sounds like you have a supportive family and a great daughter who will help you find the Dr. you need. I am glad you will have your daughter with you. She can help you fill out any paperwork the Dr needs. She can serve as a second pair of ears to remember what the Dr says as well as help you explain your symptoms. I am says take my husband with me to Dr appointments.
Don't worry about MS and all its complexities at this point. Just find a Dr who knows what he is talking about!
I wish you all the best and don't give up! There is always hope!
Please let us know how you are doing
Lynn
