Hi Sissy sorry to hear you are having such a bad time, never give up, don't let MS beat you, I also have trouble getting around and similar to you feel like my legs feel like they are sinking into the ground and some but not all the pain that you are getting and fatigue makes them worse, and I hate the fact that I have to rely on others for help and support. Finding a great doctor can be as much of a battle as the curse we have, I use to go to a MS clinic in Brisbane 3 1/2 drive away when you got there wait for 3 hours and see some useless fellow that just couldn't be bothered for a 15min consultation and as you said no confidence in him, I spent some time in a wheelchair before solumedrol got me moving again, now about wheelchairs if you need some advice, watch out for dog droppings and you are at bum height all the time I even got backed over in my wheelchair another story, I really hope you feel better lean on your friends and keep your chin up Craig

Thank you Craig! Bless you! I don't think I'd be using that MS Clinic either! I too hate how far you have to go to get to a MS specialist. I am beginning to think that the Insurance company is behind a lot of this.

I have so much doubt in my Dr's that the only one that is helpful is the pain clinic. I know a solumedrol treatment would help, but I would have to go in for the shots in my back instead of the drip bag. But it is so painful and it's hard to get someone to take me because they have to stay in the waiting rm for up to 4hrs and drive me home. It's as an out pt. and then being a diabetic it sends my BS through the roof for abt a week.

As you can see I like to whine a lot! My husband says he hurts, just watching me try to get around in the house! He hates it when I go to the store. I'm in so much pain I just barely make it back home to collapse on the couch and fall asleep . He loads a wagon with the groceries and pulls it into the kitchen. After abt 30 min I can get up and put some things away.

It takes me to long to buy groc because I have to spend so much time looking for cheap items.I have a real hard time trying to buy enough gro for a month for $110.00. If I could tolerate a longer drive to another store it might save me a few dollars, BUT you have to bag your own groceries and carry them out. As it is I can barely get them out of the basket to the counter.

I long for the days when I could take my time and wonder through the stores and shop for good values. But like so many other things those days are gone.

Do you have a mate or kids to help you Craig? I hope so! It's good to have someone help scrape The Poop off the wheels! I use a rollator when I can but none of those things fit in my house and I can't manage them in the back of my little truck. To heavy to maneuver! Keep going love!

          Are you ok!

I have not posted on MS World for years. I was wondering how you are and if you found a good Neurologist with answers for you?

Wonderdog lady -- Sissy has also not posted on this board for more than two years. Perhaps she'll see a notice of this post on her thread and respond.
