    Vegetable Tuna Spread

    Ingredients
    6-1/2-ounce can chunk light tuna packed in water
    3 ounces light cream cheese, softened
    1/4 cup wheat germ
    1/4 cup finely chopped carrot
    2 Tablespoons sliced green onion
    2 Tablespoons plain low-fat yogurt
    2 teaspoons lemon juice

    Directions
    1 Place tuna in colander or strainer; flake and gently rinse with cool water to remove salt.
    2 Drain on paper towel.
    3 Combine all ingredients; mix well.
    4 Chill 2 hours.
    5 Spread on whole grain bread or crackers, or serve as a dip with fresh vegetables.

    MAKES 6 servings
