Ingredients
1 roaster chicken
1/2 pound hot OR mild pork sausage
15-ounce package herb stuffing mix
4-1/2 cups water
1 envelope dehydrated chicken noodle soup
1/4 cup green pepper chopped
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup celery
1/2 cup water chestnuts, sliced and drained
Salt to taste
Directions
1 Fry sausage, crumbling as it cooks.
2 Drain.
3 Saute' onions and pepper.
4 Bring water and salt to boil.
5 Add soup mix and celery.
6 Simmer 5 minutes.
7 To stuffing mix add onions, peppers, sausage, water chestnuts, and soup mixture.
8 Bake with chicken 30 to 45 minutes of cooking time.
