"I don't know, but maybe fibromyalgia"

I wasn't sure where else to post, without replying to a long thread.

I know the criteria, I have never met it. After going to the PCP, Rheumy, back to PCP:
Did the pressure points, that I knew didn't fit.
She says you don't meet the criteria, but I don't know what else it could be.

Off to never land again, too tired and busy to be bothered with so many repeat questions and test, with follow up appointment to say it's fine, we don't know.

Has anyone else ever had this happen to them?

Hi GaMassage and welcome - Really don't know how to answer this question. What exactly happened beyond being tired? What is your main concern?

Here is information about fibro http://www.fibrocenter.com/diagnosing-fibromyalgia

I hope you can find some answers to what's going on with you!

      Fibro

Thank you for getting back to me.

      I hurt all over.
I've had a dozen tests, specialist....with more tests.

      No mri, metal in chest.

It started several years ago, with extreme tiredness.
The list of symptoms is crazy long. And came and went, except knee pain and swelling.

Pain in joints has been an unwelcome friend... leg spasms......
Sensitivity to lights is a come and go thing. Direct sunlight is blinding.

Most of the stuff visits for a while, leaves as quick as it came, just to invite another unwelcome visitor.

The itching and sometimes a small red rash. This has not let up in over 2 years now.

While I see that warm water helps many, last time my legs were on fire from the itching. I haven't tried that again.

As a massage therapist, I know massage helps, but sometimes makes the itching worse. So, I don't. They always want me on a table, the muscles are so tight.

Numbness, parasthesia and ice cold hands are not conducive to my work.
Chiropractor wants me back in, again I am afraid of something else starting.

      The nerve conduction was negative.
CT Was negative. This started with recurrent "sinus" problems and "tension headache ".

I already see a neuro for seizures and myoclonic episodes that have become unmanageable with meds, again come and go.
Memory, not for a while...was always excellent.

This is a roller coaster ride and I want off.

PCP wants me to see endocrinologist now, not sure what he can really do.

I'm lost, confused and worst of all, stressed.

Any direction would be of any help.
This year has had it's unbearable moments!

OTC things don't help, I lived on those for a year.

Ah~~ thanks for getting back and adding more info, not that I am trained to help solve anything for you! I'm sorry you have a host of symptoms that can't be explained.

It's good that your pcp is suggesting you see a endocrinologist. Their role is to treat hormone imbalances, like hypo or hypothyroidism. Hypothyroidism sx include some of your symptoms - fatigue, muscle weakness, joint pain, memory problems. (My mom has this and with medication, has helped her greatly)

IDK - just a thought that maybe this is what your experiencing?
Make that appt with the endo! Hopefully, it will lead you in the right direction or get you closer to a dx.
        Good luck!
