    Honey Mustard Burger

    Ingredients
    3 Tablespoons Dijon style mustard
    2 Tablespoons honey
    3 teaspoons minced fresh oregano leaves
    1 pound lean ground beef
    1/4 cup diced onion
    1/4 teaspoon coarse ground black pepper
    4 leaves leaf lettuce
    4 crusty rolls, split
    4 onion slices, separated into rings, optional

    Directions
    1 Combine mustard, honey, and 1 teaspoon oregano; set aside.
    2 Combine ground beef, 2 Tablespoons honey-mustard sauce, remaining 2 teaspoons oregano, onion, and pepper, mixing lightly.
    3 Divide beef mixture into 4 equal portions, shaped into patties 4 inches in diameter.
    4 In large non-stick frying pan, over medium heat, pan broil patties 7 to 8 minutes, turning once.
    5 Place 1 lettuce leaf on each bottom roll half; top with burger.
    6 Spoon reserved honey-mustard sauce over burgers; garnish with onion rings, if desired.
    7 Close with roll tops.

    MAKES 4 servings
