Hello.
I failed Tecfidera after approx. 6 months. My neuro has suggested Plegridy as my next DMT. My insurance uses CVS specialty pharmacy and I see that may be a big issue in a few months as Plegridy seems to be no longer covered in 2016.
Aubagio and Gilenya were both not options for me due to side effects / other medications I currently take. Tysabri I advocated for, but they want to hold that off for later in the game.
Copaxone is an option, but due to my recent issues, I know it takes longer to "kick in" and that scares me a bit. The post-injection bumps that may not go away do a bit as well, but I can get past that if I have to. I have this new spasticity in the last month that went from nonexistent to affecting daily living and a Baclofen dose that went from 10 mg daily to 50 mg daily in one month.
I guess I'm asking if anyone with more experience has any friendly advice. I'm new to this and these are big decisions. I've discussed it with my wife, my MS specialist, his nurse and NP. I know most of the options on the table. Just seems like Plegridy would be a lot more solid option without the CVS dilemma in 2016.
Thanks,
Sazed
