    For the nonmeat eaters…

This is probably old news to you, but I've recently discovered veggie burgers and black bean burgers!

Found them in the vegan aisle in the grocery store.

    Very good :-)

They are good! I used to have them from time to time, but now that I'm gluten free, I haven't found any without wheat as an ingredient. Still looking!

From my beef with meat. An engine 2 cookbook

15 oz black beans drained &rinsed. We use kidney for variety
        1cup baby spinach. Finely minced
        2tb tomato paste or ketchup
        1Tb yellow mustard
        1 tsp garlic powder
        1 tsp onion powder
        1/2 tsp ground cumin
        1/3 cup quick oats
Hot sauce (sriracha) as much as you like. I just gove it a couple shake, but i also top with sriracha mustard

Mash beans until no whole beans but not completely mush
        Add everything else and mix
        Makes 4 patties
Parchment paper on your baking sheet helps since they will stick.
        400 for10-12 mins flip and ~5 more.

Freeze really well. We make a dozen and freeze for qiick diners

Those sound good, nosepmodnar, and easy to make. Much less expensive than buying already-made packages too.

I'm always looking for recipes that I can make a big batch of (when I'm feeling up to it) and freezing the rest for when I am totally fatigued.

          Thanks!!

We've bought many, even the local farmers market ones, but they never stand up to ones you make yourself.
Especially since you can control the seasoning by adding or removing things you want.
That is one problem with pre made, they control the seasoning, especially the salt. We do not do a lot of salt and most people put craploads of salt in everything. The last batch we bouhht at the farmers market were way too thin and had so much thyme that we couldn't eat them.

My wife uses GF rolls, i just put them on the top of salad
