Frying my finger on curling iron because it just felt different not hot.

    Hi,
I was diagnosed 5 months ago and among my many symptoms are numbness in my hands. The other day I was curling my hair and just noticed a weird feeling in my finger. Then I realized it was burning!Does anyone else have problems with sensations in hands to the point they burn themselves?

    Thanks!

ouch! that's why i don't use curling irons any more!
my arms were the first to go numb.
baked cookies 1 night w/ kids, next morning a crescent 1/2" blister was oozing on my wrist! DD pointed out she thought i touched the heating element in oven, but didn't react so didn't think anything of it!
it never hurt. i've got the scar to prove it!

you'll be more accident prone if the numbness doesn't go away. is this a recent occurance? if so, call neuro right away. some meds could stop it and perhaps reverse some of the damage.

mainly i just have to be vigilant and watch carefuly what my hands are doing and try to do things more slowly.
just to be safe i have a haircut that is wash & go. no blow drying, curling or flattening needed. makes life easier & safer!

    praying it gets better!
take care & God bless ya!
