    Feeling of a Glass Splinter

Sometimes I get a random feeling of having a shard of glass stuck either in my big toe or thumb. It starts suddenly and eventually disappears suddenly. Does anyone else get this? Is it alloydinia or a parathestia? Just wondering.

    Hello
My toe usually gets numbness occasionally, but my right heel gets a similar feeling.
It's almost like a dull object has been inserted in it, which the intensity comes and goes, but never goes away completely.
It does get more noticeable when I'm off my feet, it throbs and tingles. When I get back up, I get the feeling as if I stepped on a sewing needle.

I think of it as being like a sharp pin pressing hard that happens anywhere on my extremities. Other times it feels like really intense itching (but only in one very specific spot), and sometimes I get both together!

        I get that feeling, too.

I have had that exact sensation several times, very strange.
I thought for sure that there was a small shard of glass stuck
in the pad of my left thumb- sharp & painful when pressing my
thumb down, but there was nothing there.
Thankfully, the feeling doesn't last for very long.
