Starting Gilenya soon, switching from Copaxone.

I've been on Copaxone for the last five years and I'm having some progression so starting Gilenya. I had an eye test today to check for macular edema and then will start gilenya at my home under supervision of a nurse before and after with ECGs.

I'm hoping it will be fairly uneventful but I would appreciate any feedback from those taking the drug for awhile.

I was on Tysabri for over three years previously.
    Take care, Wiz

    i'm on Gilenya.

I have been on G for 3 months. No side affects but i eat something before i take it, idk if it makes a difference.
I do like the pill more than shots but idk if the G is helping or not, i haven't had a recent MRI.
I have read that a study on G was not as promising as they hoped but more studies were going on. I hope it proves promising, i don't like puttin poison in my body for no reason.
I heard Tysibri was a good drug but for some reason my neurologist won't let me have it as a option?

      Hi Wiz!
I've been taking G almost a year. Tried Rebif, Tysabri (60+ infusions), Copaxone & IVIG. I feel almost as good as I did on Tysabri.
No real side effects after the first few weeks. And then it was only a slight headache and complete exhaustion by 10 a.m.
I switched to taking it at night and now I don't fall asleep in my coffee!
How did you manage to get your first dose observation at home? Lucky you! I was at a cardiologists office for 6+ hours. Boring!
      Good luck!
