colds and anxiety

This might seem odd, but every time I get a lengthy cold I get a bout of crazy anxiety. I am always fearful that it is going to last for ever. Needless to say, I have just got over a three week cold and yesterday had a brutal stomach bug. This morning I woke up with a full fledged anxiety attack.

I know that I will have numerous colds and illnesses over the course of my life and need to find a way to not get so fearful Everytime it happens. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi Krystine,
Do you take any medication when you have your colds? I find that some medications make me very edgy and cause anxiety. I can take Benedryl but not any antihistamines that are nondrowsy. Hope you are feeling better.
