    So scared and frustrated...

I got trained and took 1st injection this morning, BUT this afternoon I received a letter from my horrible insurance company that I was only approved for a one time 28 day supply and have to get my dr to jump through hoops to get more. This is what happened with Gilenya and then I got changed to Beta. At least with Gilenya I never actually took a dose before I found out I was denied, this time I got a dose in and then got the letter. MEAN stupid insurance company keeps only approving a one time supply and denying me. Isn't that dangerous to keep letting me briefly take something and then change it? And dr is closed now til Monday which means I'll have two doses in me by then. Or should I not take Sundays injection? Will I never again get a real ms med good in my system now?!?! I'm so scared and frustrated.

    Sorry to hear about this.

I also have found the insurance company to be rather frustrating. It took almost 2 months for me to get approved for Tecfidera and then they only approved 6 months worth of meds. I think they did this so that they will review everything in January when all the medications approved on the company plan are reviewed.

I hope your doctor will contact them on Monday to start pleading your case! And I also hope that the company will approve for at least a year for you.

Personally, I would go ahead and take the next doses. You could even use that to enhance your argument that you need to continue on the medication instead of stopping so soon.

Good luck. Let us know what happens!

Well at least I'm not alone in having an unfair insurance company. Thanks for replying.

I'm going to do the injection tonight and try calling dr tomorrow. Since he's a county dr it's often hard to get through. But, I have to try!

I agree, I would call BetaPlus and see if they can help you. Sorry you are dealing with this!
