I was diagnosed with Graves disease 25 years ago and then later hypothyroidism. My MS diagnosis was ten years ago.
My GP will only order the blood test TSH to check on my thyroid levels. The dosage has been upped a few times throughout the years. I know there are a few other tests to check those levels. There are t3 and t4 as well as free t3 and t4 - does anyone know the difference between these tests?
I am beyond exhausted and wonder if besides MS my thyroid is contributing to my fatigue. My endocrinologist stopped practicing a couple of years ago although she also would only order TSH.
I read that there are two types of hypothyroidism (Type 1 and Type 2). If my TSH is "normal", could I still have Type Two hypothyroidism?
