Can't get up at night to pee?

Lots of conversation about controlling urination... what about just knowing that once you are in bed sleeping, it will be 10-11 hours before you can get up? I assure you most people will have to go.

Bladder health is so important, hydration, supplements etc. (all which can help you steer clear of UTI's)

So what iic anything are you using for overnight protection?

    Bedside commode

Plus I wear a pad that covers both holes, if you know what I mean. I have a supra pubic catheter also but then I have use of only one arm.

In other sites, we talk about stop drinking at 5. Hard to do sometimes.

      Kat,

What I have started doing is setting an alarm clock for my bathroom, lol.

I would wake up with a full bladder and be in agony until I relieved myself.

I try to go to bed at the same time everynight, I set the "pee alarm" for 5 hours later, then I fall back to sleep for my "get up for the day alarm".

It has helped as I was getting more frequent UTI's.

My last one was pretty bad, almost landed in the hospital.

I know for some the "pee alarm" might prevent them from going back to sleep, but considering the possible prevention of a UTI, its worth it.

Oh, and I drink lots of water in the day time. I quit drinking around 3 hours before bed time.
