    Non-med cog fog strategy?

Started piano lessons recently and for about an hour after practicing, I am able to tackle my to-do list like a maniac- have great focus and time on task. I´m wondering if being forced to play with the non-dominant hand is hooking up neural connections that never existed and allowing me to function at a higher level. I am FAR from a Mozart, but enjoy the Zenlike state of the practice and for sure appreciate the time afterwards when I´m productive.

Incredible! And so inspiring. I don't play (did many years ago)....but perhaps it's worth a try....

    Thanks for sharing!

This sounds like a good strategy for neural plasticity since it's both physical exercise and a mental challenge. I wonder what else would also work.

I have heard that learning a new instrument is VERY helpful for those with MS.

Learning a new language has also proven helpful.

I suppose learning ANY new thing is good for us.

YAY on your "Zen-like" status with piano. YOU GOOO!!
Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly.
