    Leg Zings

Has anyone ever had this weird Zinging go through their legs? I had about four nights in a row where it would happen around 3am. It didn't hurt exactly but I couldn't walk as it felt like my ankles were being pummelled. I can only describe the morning after as having nerve whiplash. My ankles felt like they'd been bruised. The zinging part was this kind of line zooming down my legs every 3 seconds for hours each night. Nothing would relieve it except gentle crying, because what else can you do? I had to release anything somehow. It didn't really do anything, but I pretended it did. I went to an MS specialist for my yearly review thing and I mentioned it and she said no, it's nothing to do with MS.

Why would my body randomly do something so horrible for four days?

I also think symptoms can appear at a much younger age. I had a numb arm for a week at age 10, then it went away. 10 years later, here I am.

    What do you guys think?

I have something like this, although I don't believe my symptoms hurt like yours. I definitely feel the symptoms are related to my MS and the lesions on my spine where the myelin has been removed. I believe I had a flair in July that adversely affected my ability to walk and revolved around my right knee. I'm slowly recovering after a month of physical therapy and continued exercise. One of the symptoms is like a nerve "zing" that comes and goes. Definitely uncomfortable. Sometimes a nerve is "pinched", and I literally collapse to the floor. No pain, but I have no control. It goes away after a few seconds. I believe your neurologist is wrong, but I'll check with mine in February.

I have had something like to what you're describing.

Mine has been more like tingles and then when I look at my leg there would be patches of goose bumps. I started having that weird sensation years before I was diagnosed.

I believe it is from MS. Kind of like your nervous system is going haywire from MS activity.

        Had something sort of similar

this week. Woke up and my ankle, lower leg felt like it was being shocked & stuck by needles & it also itched . It lasted all through my work day. This was one sided . I know it's MS related as I have these SX come & go regularly. I often have a buzzing feeling on my legs , and I think there is a bug there , and I look - No....
