    Icy Hot sensation

    Hello Everyone,

For the past two weeks I feel like someone dunked my whole body in a pool of Icy Hot! I am wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

    Thank you,

    Adrian

I have had it, but it tends to be in one section (for example an area on my C-spine or T-spine) for me. Its just another paresthesia. There seems to be not much you can do about it. I tried putting ice on it, but it just made it hotter. It goes away after the exacerbation or pseudo-exacerbation.

I hope you feel better soon!

Yes! Icy Hot is exactly how I describe it. When my muscles are tight and cramping my husband wants to put icy hot on them. I'm like no way. That's an awful feeling to me. If I ever have to put on any kind of analgesic cream on I always have to get the kind with no menthol stuff in it. It's quite uncomfortable. My MS Specialist gives me Vimpat. It works pretty well.
I hope it goes away soon.

        Burning Cold?

at least hat's how I describe my Paresthesia sx's. My initial bout bout involved both arms and hands and lasted for +2yrs. with more pain than I care to think about.

It returns when my arms get too warm (long sleeves, winter coats and too warm sleeping in the winter because I'm 'sensative' to the cold temps), body heat, bike riding with body weight supported with my arms, even menthol from toothpaste on hands can exacerbate the sx's, etc.

Sorry you have this sx's and hope it resolves soon for you!

Thank you everyone! Although I have been diagnosed for 8 years I have had every other symptom in the book except for this! It is the most uncomfortable sensation in my book! lol

My neuro told me that this paresthesia is really not MS related and more of a Fibromyalgia flare-up!

The truth is that here in NC the weather has been a little cooler then normal and it seems to be doing me more worst then good!

          Thank you again,

          Andriani

I'm not sure if this is the same thing but sometimes I feel like my arms are freezing cold, like they have been packed in ice. My body (trunk) actually feels hot and sweaty. I feel so conflicted about what to do.

              Icy hot scalp!

I had this symptom for years and it finally went away: my scalp prickled but I could ignore it until I did something like use a blow dryer.

The only way I can describe it is this: I could sense temperatures but I couldn't say WHICH temperature. My scalp was either hot or it was cold, but I didn't know which one. That was weird, and horrible.

Thank you guys! I wonder if it a viral infection! My doctor will be putting me on antibiotics for weeks! I hate this sensation!
