Hello I have been having muscle spasms in my chin for the past three months. If I am stressed about something that will trigger it or if I drop something that also will trigger the spasm in my chin. They have been going non stop for the past two days. I also get them in my thighs when I am going to bed. I also get numbness in my hands. I had an MRI done and it came back normal, but they MRI was only for my brain. SHould I have them do an MRI on my spine as well? Thanks

Probably not. If you are having tremors in your chin, the chin is connected to the brain, not the spinal cord. It would have shown on the MRI. Generally though myoclonus doesn't move around like that. What you are talking about is connected to so many different places in the CNS. You may have some PNS problems.

Are both hands numb at the same time? If so, it may be useful to get a C-spine MRI. What does your neurologist say?
I am sorry you are having such problems.

    Take care
