    Your opinion please?

    I was dx in 09, with Ppms.
    I do not take any meds other than Tylenol daily.
    I stretch, & use percussion massager, 2 or 3 times per week.
    Other than ms, I've lost 35 lbs, & feel good.
    I take each day as it comes, some days more challenging than others.
    I live alone ( which I actually enjoy), use a rollater to walk, & modifying my home gradually.

    My question is I have not went back to my neuro for over 2 years, & feel it is not really necessary to have the disease monitored.
    There is progression, but nothing unexpected .

    How often IS necessary?
    Everyone is different , what do you think?

    Hi pinkcane,

    It sounds like you're doing a really good job by stretching, getting around, and it's great to hear of the weight loss.
    Have you asked your neurologist how often you should be seen and why?

    I think it's important to see your doctor (at least a general doctor) at least once a year.

    There are several things to check:
    Vital signs (blood pressure,heart rate);
    Blood work (hemoglobin /red & white blood cells, glucose, cholesterol, triglycerides, vitamin deficiency - important with Vit D & B12);
    Urinalysis;
    Check heart, lungs, abdomen;
    Skin integrity;
    Muscle mass, reflexes and other neurological areas

    Female Exam is also important

    I would recommend making an appointment.
    Be Well,
    Susan
