semi electric ? vs full electric hospital

Ok, I don't have all this language stuff. I took Spanish in high school, but I should have also taken "medical stuff" language.

I need a hospital bed that electrically, at the push of buttons, raises and lowers, the head area, and raises and lowers the leg area.

Now I received a phone call, that my health ins will only cover a "semi electric" bed.

What does that mean. I haven't a "half clue"?

You may have found out already but I am pretty sure that semi electric beds only allow for head and foot activation electrically while either no up/down function or it is hand cranked. Full electric means electric for head, foot and up/down. Hope you're doing well.
